We Didn't Start a Bakery.
We Ignited One.
The Cerillo Lava Lounge was born from a simple conviction: most bread today tastes like nothing. Soft, uniform, and forgettable — baked for shelf life instead of soul.
We opened our doors in Freehold to prove that a neighborhood bakery can be both an anchor and a revelation. Every morning, our ovens fire up before the streets do. By sunrise, the sourdough is cooling, the croissants are laminating their final layers, and the coffee is already pulling its first shot.
"Cerillo" means match — as in the spark that starts something real. That's what we are: a match struck against the ordinary. Not a trend. Not a concept. Just a warm space where food is made with intention and shared without pretense.
